Grisly videos show the moment 11 people were killed and dozens of others injured Saturday after a vehicle plowed into a large crowd at the Lapu Lapu Day festival in Vancouver, Canada.
The victims ranged in age from 5 to 65.
30-year-old local, Kai-Ji Adam Lo, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with eight counts of second-degree murder, with additional charges anticipated.
Authorities have ruled out terrorism as a motive, noting that Lo had a history of mental health issues and prior interactions with police.
Videos show the aftermath along East 43rd Avenue, lined with food trucks.
First responders can be seen helping victims between the trucks. A black SUV with a damaged hood appears in the footage, though police have not confirmed it as the suspect’s vehicle.
The incident has deeply affected Vancouver’s Filipino community and prompted national mourning, with leaders like Prime Minister Mark Carney expressing condolences and emphasizing the need for improved public safety measures.
