2 dead, 1 injured during shooting at Holmes County gas station on New Year’s Eve

HOLMES CO., Miss. – Two people are dead and a third person was injured during a shooting at a Holmes County gas station on New Year’s Eve.

According to Holmes County Sheriff Willie March, the deadly shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Tuesday.

Sheriff March says deputies responded to a shootout at a Shell gas station on Highway 17. Upon arrival, Brian Grisby Jr., 21, was found dead at the front door of the store.

De’Marion Sly, 19, was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

The third victim, 22-year-old Antine Fisher, was grazed by a bullet and was treated and released.

Deputies are working to identify a suspect in connection with the incident.
