NEW YORK – Two men are dead and a third was injured following a shooting outside a subway station in upper Manhattan late Sunday night, according to graphic video and reports.
Police said Wednesday that a 16-year-old teenager was arrested late Tuesday night and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the shooting.
The incident unfolded near the steps of the 207th Street subway station in Inwood just before midnight.
Two men were killed and a third man was also shot but survived. None of the victims are believed to have been the intended targets.
James Michael, 44, was shot in the face and pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital.
Alejandro Ramirez, 45, was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital. He was shot while walking home after his shift at Pizza Palace.
The motive is believed to linked to ongoing marijuana sales at the location.
