JENNINGS, Mo. – Video shows chaos that erupted at Koeneman Park Friday evening after two women were shot while trying to break up a fight.
The shooting happened around 6:05 p.m. on May 30.
Witnesses say a physical confrontation had erupted among several individuals at the park when two bystanders tried to intervene in an effort to de-escalate the situation.
Police say that’s when 23-year-old Imani Easley, of University City, pulled out a firearm and opened fire — hitting one woman in the arm and another in the chest.
Both victims were hospitalized. The woman shot in the chest remains in critical condition.
Easley was arrested and charged with assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. She’s being held on a $500,000 bond.
St. Louis County Police are still investigating.
