LOS ANGELES, California — A man was pistol-whipped and shot during a robbery caught on surveillance video in downtown Los Angeles.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a man, woman and their 2-year-old child were shopping in downtown LA when a gray Chrysler 300 approached them shortly after 3pm on Thursday.
Two suspects got out of the car and pointed handguns at the family and stole their property.
The 26-year-old father was pistol-whipped on the head and shot in the arm, according to police. The woman and the couple’s 2-year-old son ran to safety and were not hurt.
The suspects got back inside the Chrysler and drove off from the scene.
The father was taken to the hospital for treatment for his gunshot wound and a laceration to his head.
