Two dead, two injured after plane crashes in Pembroke Pines

FLORIDA — Two people are dead and two others were injured after a small plane crashed in Pembroke Pines near North Perry Airport, reports said.

Pembroke Pines Police said the crash happened in the area of Southwest 72nd Avenue and Southwest 13th Street.

Two people were on board the Beechcraft Bonanza at the time of the crash, according to Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue. Both died at the scene.

The Beechcraft was forced to turn back around towards North Perry Airport shortly after takeoff — and collided with an SUV after clipping a power line, said Federal Aviation Administration investigators.

A woman and a young child, who were inside the SUV, were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

The fatal crash was captured on a nearby home’s Ring camera.
