PAKISTAN — New video shows the moment a security guard shot and killed a thief trying to steal an iron drain cover in Pakistan.
The events took place at around 7:00am Saturday in the Gurmundar area of Karachi city.
Surveillance video of the incident shows two suspects on a motorcycle at a gas station in Gurmundar. As one of the thieves lifts a drain cover and sits on the bike, a security guard comes from the front and opens fire in their direction.
The suspect holding the gutter cover in his hands then falls from the motorcycle to the ground and died on the spot, according to the footage and local police. The driver fled the scene.
The guard was arrested and taken into custody. What charges he faces, if any, is unknown at this time.
