QUEENS, NY — Police are searching for a suspect seen on video punching a 75-year-old Asian woman in the face in Queens Wednesday afternoon, sources say.
Police say the woman was walking on 57th Avenue near 97th Place in Corona when someone socked her in the face in a random, unprovoked attack — leaving her with a fractured nose and right orbital bone.
The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction and is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s.
It was unclear whether the assault was being investigated as a hate crime.
