Videos show the moment a 78-year-old man shot and killed a 16-year-old boy who tried jacking his pickup truck in Argentina.
“A 78-year-old man shot and killed one of the criminals who intercepted him to rob him when he arrived at his home in Villa Madero, in the Buenos Aires district of La Matanza. The dead thief was 16 years old.
The violent episode occurred after 9 pm on Monday, on Cabildo Street.
As shown in the images, the victim of the robbery, an Italian national, parked his Toyota Hilux pickup truck on the sidewalk outside his house. After performing a few maneuvers, he positioned the vehicle, turned off the engine and only had to enter his house.
However, suddenly a white 4×4 stopped abruptly and at least three assailants got out to assault him. At that moment, the man took his weapon, a .357 caliber Smith pistol, and shot them.
One of the shots hit one of the robbers who was travelling in the passenger seat. The teenager collapsed on the asphalt. A weapon was found near the criminal’s right hand.
Investigators are awaiting the results of the examination of the weapon that the criminal allegedly used to threaten the pensioner and are reviewing security cameras in the area to reconstruct the suspects’ entry and exit routes.”
