VENEZUELA — A disturbing act of animal cruelty has sparked outrage after a kitten was reportedly thrown into the sea by a student, prompting calls for authorities to investigate.

The incident was reported in Los Puertos de Altagracia, in Miranda municipality, Zulia state. According to local accounts, the student allegedly tossed the animal into the water while others nearby recorded the act.
