A boy was electrocuted while trying to retrieve a kite in Dominican Republic.
“SANTO DOMINGO.- A 12-year-old minor was seriously injured on Thursday afternoon when he made contact with an electric wire and fell from the roof of the third floor of a house, while trying to remove a kite that was hanging from the wire, on R2 street in the Katanga sector of Los Mina, in Santo Domingo Este.
The boy, only identified as Randy, fell headfirst onto the pavement seconds after receiving the electric shock, which also burned part of his body.
Neighbors of the area took him to the San Lorenzo de Los Mina maternity hospital where he received medical attention.
The incident has caused shock among the residents of the area. Several minors have been injured or died in the country due to this type of accident.”
