Brawl breaks out following reckless driving on busy South Beach corner
MIAMI BEACH, Florida — Reckless driving followed by a brawl has raised concerns ahead of Memorial Day weekend.
The two unrelated incidents happened within an hour of each other on Ninth Street and Collins Avenue Sunday night, according to Miami Beach Police.
Officers responded soon after to crash the scene and arrested 23-year-old Davonte Darquinn Coleman from Michigan — after cellphone video surfaced of him doing “donuts” at the intersection.
Several minutes later, police said a fight broke out in the same area.
Surveillance videos from the Sherbrooke Hotel captured the brawlers throwing hands. A man was also knocked unconscious during the ordeal.
No arrests have been made in connection to the fight.
