Bus driver in coma after getting beaten with metal thermos in Mexico

According to reports, the incident occurred after the bus experienced a mechanical issue, prompting the driver to stop the vehicle and wait for an insurance adjuster, as per standard procedure. A passenger, identified as a private security guard, became agitated by the delay. In a sudden act of violence, he struck the driver on the head with a metal thermos, causing a severe cranial injury. The driver lost consciousness and was transported to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The assault was captured by the bus’ security cameras, and the footage has since circulated widely on social media, sparking public outrage.
Authorities have identified the attacker and are pursuing legal action. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of public transportation workers and the need for enhanced protective measures.
