MARION COUNTY, Florida — Disturbing video footage shows a daycare worker allegedly abusing multiple toddlers at a childcare facility, leading to criminal charges.

Authorities say the incidents happened at Bright Beginnings Learning Center in Summerfield, where 13-month-old children were reportedly targeted. Surveillance video allegedly shows the worker grabbing a child by one arm, swinging them, and striking them on the head.

In another moment, a child is seen being hit in the back of the head and falling, while a separate clip reportedly shows the worker using her foot to prevent a child from getting up.

The suspect, identified as Laura Flores, is now facing three counts of child abuse. Investigators say the footage revealed multiple victims after one child returned home with visible bruising on both cheeks.

When questioned, Flores allegedly claimed the injuries came from a fall, but deputies say video evidence told a different story.

Family members of the victims expressed outrage after seeing the footage, raising concerns about supervision and why the behavior wasn’t caught sooner despite cameras being in place.

Flores has since bonded out of jail. Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
