CHINA: Brutal attack in Shandong Province sparks outrage amid media censorship

On April 25, a violent attack took place in Taishan District, Tai’an City, Shandong Province, where four teenagers brutally beat and stabbed a 16 or 17-year-old boy with a kitchen knife.

Witnesses described the assailants as acting arrogantly, shouting threats during the attack and celebrating afterward.

Authorities in China have reportedly blocked information about the incident — deleting videos posted by the victim’s family and shutting down their social media accounts.

Official Chinese media have not reported on the event, but some independent internet personalities and netizens are speaking out online, demanding justice and harsh punishment for the attackers.

The victim is currently in critical condition in an ICU, relying on a heart-lung machine. Reports suggest the attack was random, with no known relationship between the victim and the attackers.

Despite heavy censorship, public anger is growing as people continue to question the lack of transparency and demand accountability.
