Video shows the moment a civil police investigator shot a would be thief during an attempted robbery in Brazil.
“A 40-year-old Civil Police investigator suffered an attempted robbery in the early hours of Saturday (21), reacted and shot at the suspects. The case took place in the Jardins Recantos das Rosas neighborhood, in the East Zone of the capital.
One of the robbers, who is 23 years old, was hit and is hospitalized under police escort at the Hospital Geral de Guaianases, while the other managed to escape. A security camera recorded the action.

According to the Public Security Secretariat, a 357 caliber revolver with the number removed and a motorcycle were seized. The police officer’s weapon was also seized. Expert examinations were requested from the Criminalistics Institute (IC) and the Legal Medical Institute (IML).
The case was registered as an attempted robbery in the 53rd Police District (Parque do Carmo) and remains under investigation.”
