Cops caught having sex inside patrol vehicle in Cyprus: video

LARNACA, CYPRUS — Two police officers in Cyprus have been suspended after they were allegedly filmed having sex in a marked patrol car during daylight hours, according to local reports.

The incident occurred in an open field in Larnaca, southeastern Cyprus. A passing motorist noticed the patrol car and recorded the encounter, which shows a male and female officer engaging in sexual activity inside the parked vehicle. The footage has since gone viral on social media.

Authorities quickly identified the officers involved. One of them was reportedly on duty at the time, while the other was not. Both have been suspended, and a criminal and disciplinary investigation is now underway. Potential charges include public indecency and neglect of duty.

In a public statement, the Cyprus Police condemned the behavior, calling it “unacceptable” and stating that it “insults the work of thousands of our members.” However, the Cyprus Police Association also urged the public to respect the officers’ privacy, particularly that of their families and any minor children involved.

Irini Loïzidou Nicolaidou, the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, emphasized the need to protect the individuals’ personal data while the investigation proceeds.

The case comes amid broader scrutiny of police misconduct globally. Recent reports from the UK revealed that over 25 officers were disciplined or dismissed in the past year for engaging in sexual activity while on duty.
