Video shows a home invasion gone wrong for one of the suspect after it was foiled by detectives and neighbors in Chile.
“Two detectives and a group of neighbors foiled a home robbery in Talcahuano, in the Bío Bío region. Three of the criminals managed to flee the scene, while the fourth was arrested.
This incident occurred on Thursday night on Las Quilas Street, where a group of criminals arrived in a white Volkswagen car and then forcibly entered a house on the street.
That action was captured on video from the security cameras in the area, to which Radio Bío Bío had access, where the arrival of the white vehicle with four occupants can be seen.
Three of the thieves enter the house, while the driver waits outside. A few minutes pass when another red car arrives at the scene, whose occupants immediately get out upon seeing the intruders. It was a married couple who were detectives.
The couple tried to stop the thieves, but one of them managed to get into the white vehicle, the second fled on foot and the third tried to escape in the detectives’ vehicle without success.
In the midst of the struggle, neighbors joined in to thwart the theft of the car and detain one of the criminals, whom they hit several times. This is how the subject identified only as JACS, 26 years old, was captured and was injured.
After the incident, the offender was transferred by PDI personnel to the Robbery Brigade of Concepción, along with the detectives involved in the procedure. Meanwhile, one of the neighbors who was also injured received treatment at Las Higueras Hospital.
