A driver was shot in the stomach during an attempted robbery on the Mexico-Puebla highway in Mexico, according to video and reports.

According to the documented images, at 8:37 p.m., when the vehicle was traveling in the high-speed lane and was passing vehicles in the middle lane, it passed over a stone that was on the asphalt. As a result of the collision, the car suffered damage and the driver decided to pull over to the shoulder to report the accident.
Since the mishap, just over 11 minutes passed until they suffered the attempted assault. And when the woman who was in the passenger seat started a conversation with the authorities, a subject approached the driver’s window and hit the glass hard.
The man behind the wheel tried to calm the assailant, while carrying out a series of maneuvers. When he found the opportunity to start his vehicle again, the driver took off and drove away from the scene. However, the subject who was outside fired a firearm and broke the pilot’s window.
No more than three seconds passed after the impact when the driver placed his left hand on the side of his trunk and gave signs that he had been wounded by the bullet. “Yes he gave me. Yes, it hit me,” he repeated on several occasions.
By then, the call with the authorities was still in progress so, upon hearing the driver’s complaints, the woman in the passenger seat alerted her interlocutor through the device.
