A drug trafficker was shot to death by rivals in Ecuador, according to videos and reports.
“The sound of gunshots alarmed residents of Juan Montalván Cornejo and Luis Noboa Naranjo streets in the La Fragata sector, south of Guayaquil. When they left their homes, they found a heartbreaking scene: a man was lying on the road, with multiple bullet wounds in his body.
The victim was identified as Anthony Leonardo León Arce, 23 , who was attacked by four individuals who arrived on two motorcycles.
The attackers used two types of weapons: a pistol and a rifle. At the crime scene, the police collected ten spent .380-calibre shells and six 9-millimetre shells.
León Arce, who had a criminal record for drug trafficking in 2020 and for weapons possession in 2023, was transferred alive on his own motorcycle to a hospital in southern Guayaquil. However, he died minutes after his admission.
A police source revealed that the victim was involved in drug use and sales and that he had lived in the area for some time. “He came to buy drugs, the killers arrived on a motorcycle,” he said.”
