A drunk man lying on the side of a road was ran over by a car in Russia.

“The police received a report of an incident on Akhazov Street in Cheboksary on December 19 at 4 p.m.

The driver of the Renault Kaptur, a 42-year-old city resident, explained to the traffic police inspectors of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Cheboksary that she had found a person who had fallen on the roadway and had called an ambulance. Her words were confirmed by a passenger in the foreign car. However, during the examination of the injured passerby at a medical facility, doctors diagnosed him with multiple injuries that could have been sustained in a traffic accident. The 49-year-old pedestrian, who was intoxicated, did not remember anything about the circumstances of his bodily injuries and was hospitalized.

Traffic police inspector Senior Police Lieutenant Dmitry Fedorov returned to the scene of the accident, found and studied the video surveillance footage, which completely contradicted the driver’s words. The female driver of the foreign car hid the fact of the accident from the police. Not noticing the man lying on the road, she stepped on the gas and drove over the man.”
