El Paso officer shoots man wanted on warrant in Lower Valley

A man wanted on a warrant was shot by an El Paso law enforcement officer in the Lower Valley, authorities said.

Law enforcement officers were executing an arrest warrant for a man, whose name has not been released, about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, in the 9400 block of Alameda Avenue, law enforcement officials said.

The man, who allegedly had a weapon, was shot by an officer, officials said. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment.
