MODESTO – Police responded to a stabbing in downtown in front of the Palladium night club after 2am.
“For unknown reasons two groups of people got into an argument. One group was a group of Mexican males who appeared to not have been exiting a club by their attire, and may have also been too young to be allowed in a club.
They can be seen exchanging words with a group of Black men and women who did appear to have been leaving a club by their clothing.
As the older group approached the younger one, pushing occurred.
Moments later as the younger group is backing up, a Black male lunges at one of them and the melee begins.
It involved both males and females in the older group attacking the apparent younger group. As the unidentified Black male and female began attacking the group of Mexican males, one of the younger males can be seen holding a knife as he rushes to the aid of his friend being attacked as the unidentified woman was making multiple swings at the back of his head.
She eventually also got knocked down and lost her wig after repeatedly attacking the same male.
It is unclear from the footage at which point someone from the older group was stabbed or who, but medics arrived to aid the victim who was alert and responsive.
The condition of the victims on both sides is unknown at this time. It is unknown what started the altercation.”
