Gan Soujiong, a 29-year-old Chinese street food blogger known as ‘Fatty Goes To Africa’ — was stabbed to death while he was livestreaming from a market in Nepal.
Gan was reportedly stabbed to death by a rival influencer in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu on December 4.
Gan was live streaming from the food market and talking to his friends when he was stabbed from behind in broad daylight.
The aggressor, Feng Zhengyung, 37, is also an Internet celebrity named ‘Ayun’ who lives in Nepal.
According to preliminary reports, Feng held a grudge against Gan following multiple disputes and unresolved debts.
Graphic video obtained shows the fatal attack.
Gan was stabbed in the chest and abdomen and died later that night.
32-year-old Li Chuzan, one of Gan’s friend, was also stabbed during the attack but is expected to recover.
Feng was taken into police custody. An investigation is ongoing.
