UMHLANGA, South Africa — Dramatic security footage shows the moment armed suspects opened fire on a private security officer during an attempted robbery in Somerset Park, Umhlanga, early Tuesday.
According to Blue Security, its response team was called to the neighborhood for a suspected robbery. When officers moved in on the suspects, the men opened fire. Blue Security said its team quickly fired back, halting the attack and keeping nearby residents safe.
Blue Security praised its team’s quick response and said their actions likely averted a major crime.
