India miracle moment as bus narrowly avoids crushing 3-year-old girl
A three-year-old girl narrowly escaped death after running into traffic in Kozhikode, India, in a terrifying incident caught on video.
The close call happened in the Kodiyathur area when the child stepped out of an auto-rickshaw with her father and suddenly ran across the road toward relatives waiting on the opposite side. At that moment, a private bus was approaching at speed.
Video footage shows the bus driver reacting instantly, swerving slightly and slamming on the brakes just seconds before the child reached the vehicle’s path. The bus came to a stop inches away, avoiding what could have been a fatal accident.
Local reports identified the child as the daughter of an interstate migrant worker who had come to Kozhikode for employment. Witnesses credited the bus driver’s quick reflexes with preventing a tragedy.
The driver, identified as Sanoj, later said he did not consider his actions heroic and credited divine intervention for the outcome. He also said the incident deeply affected him, leaving him unable to drive for two days afterward.
No injuries were reported, and the child was safely reunited with her family. Authorities have not announced any further action related to the incident.
