CHICAGO – Video shows the moment a Chicago’s South Side fast-food restaurant employee fatally shot two customers on Monday night.
The shooting took place inside a JJ Fish and Chicken in the Wrightwood neighborhood near 79th and Western at around 10:30 p.m.
The shooting unfolded following an argument between a customer and an employee, 42-year-old Mehdi Medellel, according to police.
Two customers started arguing with Medellel, and at some point, Medellel pulled out a handgun and fired shots. The two customers, a 55-year-old man and a 56-year-old man, were shot in their heads and died at the scene.
CPD said Medellel has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. He is due in court on Wednesday.
