TUCSON, Ariz. – Authorities are asking for help following a fight in the Fourth Avenue tunnel in Tucson early Sunday, May 4.
On Monday, the Tucson Police Department released a video of the fight. The video, which does not have any audio, can be watched in the player above.
The TPD said it is also aware of a post about the fight that was circulating on social media.
In the post, a woman claimed her little sister Kolbi was jumped by several people and claimed it was a hate crime.
“As they were walking through the campus tunnel, they were harassed and taunted by a group of at least 10 white and Hispanic (men and women),” Bee NyKole wrote in the post. “They were repeatedly called the N-word by this group of people. When my sister and her friend decided to finally say something to these people, they were attacked and jumped.”
The TPD said it is working to identify everyone involved in the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information or video of the incident is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
