LOUISIANA: Shooting caught on video following road rage incident in Slidell

LOUISIANA — Slidell police released surveillance video this week of a road rage incident that escalated into a shooting incident.

The shooting occurred at around 6:30pm on Wednesday, July 14.

Police say 21-year-old Kendell Matthews, followed the victim into the Tanglewood Subdivision after a road rage incident near Highway 11 and Brownswitch Road.

The footage released shows Matthews getting out of a gray sedan and opening fire on a white pickup truck.

Police say the truck and a nearby home were struck by bullets, although nobody was injured.

Slidell police spotted the grey sedan soon after the shooting and arrested Matthews without incident — who was charged with attempted second-degree murder.

The investigation is still ongoing.
