Man armed with knives fatally shot by police in Chile

A man armed with knives was fatally shot by police in Chile.

“On Monday afternoon, Carabineros personnel shot dead a Colombian citizen inside a home on Armando Sanhueza street at the corner of Errázuriz, following a report of domestic violence in Punta Arenas.

According to information, police officers arrived at the scene and found the individual in question with two sharp weapons in his hands, with which he allegedly attacked the officers.

Under these circumstances, one of the Carabineros officers used his firearm causing serious injuries to the man.

He was later transferred to the Magallanes Clinical Hospital in a SAMU ambulance, where he eventually died.”
