Man assaulted inside Louisville’s temporary Greyhound bus station

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —Louisville Metro Police Department is asking for help identifying a man who was caught on video being assaulted at the Greyhound bus station

The video was taken Sunday night at the Greyhound station at 1211 W Broadway.

Video shows two men walk up to a man sitting down and yelling at him to “get out.” They then pull the man out of his his seat and push him over a retractable rail. One of the men then starts to drag the man by his jacket and pull it off of him.

It is unclear what led up to the altercation.

LMPD said they were not called to the Greyhound station about the incident when it happened. They became aware of it later when someone sent them the video through an anonymous tip.

Police are asking for help identifying the man who was assaulted in the video to gather more information about the incident.

Metro Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins was also contacted by several people about the incident.

“Nobody had the right to pull him out of here. I’m mad,” Hawkins said. “It could have been somebody’s father. It could have been somebody’s uncle. It’s way too often that the only time that we want to stick up and stand up is when it affects us.”

Hawkins confirmed that the two men seen in the video pulling and pushing the man around are a Greyhound employee’s sons.

Greyhound later confirmed that the woman was fired.

A statement from the company reads:

“We are aware of the incident that occurred in Louisville yesterday and are actively investigating to understand the full extent of what transpired. The third-party agent at this location has informed us that the employee involved has been terminated. The safety and well-being of our customers is our top priority.
