Man beheaded during violent machete attack at Dallas motel: graphic video

Graphic video shows the horrifying moment a 50-year-old man was beheaded in front of his wife and children at a motel in Dallas.

Police said the attack happened Wednesday morning at a motel on Samuell Boulevard, where officers responded to a 9:30 a.m. stabbing call. When they arrived, they found the victim, identified as Chandra Nagamallaiah, decapitated inside a room.

Investigators charged 37-year-old Yordanis Cobos-Martinez with capital murder. According to an arrest affidavit, Cobos-Martinez became enraged during a confrontation with Nagamallaiah and produced a machete, striking him repeatedly until he was decapitated. Witnesses reported the suspect “kicking the head like a soccer ball” after the attack.

Cobos-Martinez was arrested minutes later still covered in blood and armed with the machete. In a recorded interview, he admitted to the killing, police said.

Officials also confirmed Cobos-Martinez had been living at the motel and had previously been held at the Bluebonnet Detention Center in Texas before being released on an order of supervision due to “no removal flights to Cuba.” ICE assisted Dallas police during the interrogation.

Records also show Cobos-Martinez has a criminal history in other states, including a 2017 arrest in California for trying to carjack a woman while naked and previous charges in Houston.

The suspect is being held on a capital murder charge while federal authorities review his immigration status.
