LAS VEGAS — A man was caught on a Ring surveillance video threatening to “rape and kill” a Las Vegas woman — as she hid in her home Wednesday night.
Amanda Nowak, who posted the video on Facebook, said she was alone when the unidentified man approached the front door of her home located near Las Vegas Boulevard and Charleston.
Nowak said she did not interact with the man, hid in her home, and called 911.
The Ring video shows the man repeatedly asking, “Are you sure? Are you positive? I just have a few questions for you.”
After persisting for a few minutes, Nowak’s husband, who wasn’t home at the time of the incident, accessed the intercom system and asked the man who he was.
The man responds that he’s looking for the woman inside and that he’s going to “rape her and kill her.” He then adds that he has a knife and a gun.
After a while, the man walks away from the home.
On July 22 at around 8:43am, a citizen recognized the suspect from the doorbell video and advised a nearby Deputy City Marshal.
He was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of aggravated stalking, coercion, and obstructing a public officer.
