Man dead following work accident in West Qurna, Iraq

A man was killed in a work accident in West Qurna, Iraq.

“A security source reported today, Saturday, that a tragic accident occurred in the West Qurna 2 oil field, north of Basra (far south of Iraq), which resulted in the death of one of the workers.

The source told Shafaq News Agency, “The accident of one of the gates falling in the field led to the death of the worker, Muhammad Karim Ali, from the people of Al-Sadiq district in the Al-Rahmaniyah area.”

The source explained that the competent authorities have begun an investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident, noting that the worker’s body has been transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department”
