A man dressed as Santa Claus fell from a from high-rise building to his death during a celebration organized for children in Russia.

“On the evening of Thursday, December 21, a climber dressed in a Santa Claus costume fell from the balcony of a high-rise building on Lesoparkovaya Street in Chelyabinsk. He was supposed to descend spectacularly at a court celebration organized for children. But the performance ended in tragedy.

The climber’s fall was caught on video. In the recording, children can be heard calling Santa Claus. A man in a red robe is then seen climbing over the balcony railing of a 24-story building and hanging for several seconds. A spotlight is directed at the man, and at that moment he falls down. Two cables are clearly visible, which he is trying to cling to.

According to reports, after the incident the celebration continued. Two ambulances arrived at the scene.”
