Man gets hand blown off by cannon during festivities in Mexico
MEXICO — Gruesome video shared on social media shows the moment a man had his hand blown off by a cannon during festivities in Mexico.
Video of the incident shows a first man lighting the fuse of a celebratory cannon during the Huejotzingo carnival, but the projectile doesn’t come out. A second man comes along and changes the position of the cannon with his hand on the opening — when the gunpowder inside the cannon suddenly explodes.
The injured man immediately throws himself to the ground and coworkers come to his aid.
Aftermath photos of the accident showed the man’s hand in shambles, with at least three fingers blown off following the cannon blast.
