Man gropes and beats woman in Brooklyn video shows
Newly released NYPD video shows the moment a man groped a woman before beating her in Brooklyn early Sunday morning.
The assault unfolded at around 2:15am near the corner of South 4th and Havemeyer streets in Williamsburg, police said.
The 26-year-old woman was walking down the street when the unidentified suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks.
When the victim attempted to slap the suspect afterwards, he then punched her in the face multiple times, the NYPD said.
The suspect fled the scene and remains on the run.
The victim was taken to the hospital for bruising and swelling to the face.
The suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion, around 35 years of age, standing six feet tall and weighing around 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball hat, a du-rag, a white t-shirt with dark colored sleeves and the number “88” on the back, denim shorts and white sneakers.
