Man knocked unconscious by falling chunk of ice in China
A man was knocked unconscious after he was struck by a falling chunk of ice in China, newly released surveillance video shows.
The incident took place on December 10 in the city of Jixi in Heilongjiang province.
Video of the incident shows a courier walking on a sidewalk when a large chunk of ice suddenly falls off an 8-story building, knocking the man unconscious to the ground.
Nearby residents rushed to take the victim to safety before calling paramedics.
He was transported to a local hospital with fractures to his neck and is expected to survive.
