SUNSET PARK, N.Y. – A summer block party in Sunset Park ended in gunfire over the weekend, leaving one man dead, according to police.
The shooting happened Saturday on 57th Street near 4th Avenue. Police said 45-year-old Roberto Cuevas, a Sunset Park resident, was shot in the back during the event. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Investigators believe Cuevas had argued with the shooter earlier in the evening. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
