NEW YORK – Surveillance video shows the moment a gunman shot and killed a 29-year-old man after an argument at a Harlem liquor store.
Jacob Franco can be seen standing with a group of men outside the Aicha African Hair Braiding salon on W. 128th St. near Frederick Douglass Blvd. at about 11:25 p.m. Friday.
The shooter, his hair in long dreadlocks and wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt and gray shorts, gesture with his hands as he argues with the group, the video shows.
Video from a second surveillance camera shows what happens next. The shooter extends his arm and opens fire, and Franco drops to the ground as his killer turns and runs away toward St. Nicholas Ave.
Jacob Franco was shot twice in the chest and was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he later died.
An arrest has yet to be made.
