A man is wanted in Mexico after he bit a dog’s ear off, according to video and reports.
“Under the influence of alcohol, a man bit off the ear of a Belgian shepherd dog in a mechanic’s shop in Nuevo León.
The cruel incident was recorded on video, where two men can be seen, one of them holding the dog’s ear with one hand and a cigarette in the other, and biting off a piece; while another man who is sitting there squeezes the dog’s snout so that it does not bite.
The state Department of the Environment rescued the canine after several citizen complaints of animal abuse against the two men who appear in the video and through a statement spoke out against the mistreatment of “defenseless beings” and reported that it will file a complaint with the State Prosecutor’s Office for acts constituting the crime of animal abuse and/or cruelty.
Regarding the dog’s health, the agency reported that after a check-up by veterinarians at a private clinic, it was determined that he was healthy and receiving the necessary care to recover from the injury inflicted by his abusers.”
