A mother of two was shot to death in a broad daylight in Peru.
“Hitmen kill a mother in Carabayllo; her husband was murdered in the same way last year.
The crime, a product of criminality, contract killings and extortion, leaves two children, ages 8 and 11, orphaned, who now face a harsh reality after losing both parents in a violent manner.
This morning, in broad daylight, gunmen shot a 35-year-old woman at point-blank range in Carabayllo. The victim, Deysi del Rosario Arellano Castillo, was a fruit vendor, and her husband, a minibus driver, had been murdered by gunmen less than a year earlier.
Around 11 a.m., Arellano Castillo was walking along the sidewalk on Camino Real Avenue, near the bus stop known as “Chaperito.” At that moment, a man wearing gray pants, a jacket, and a blue cap crossed the street and quickly approached her. Without saying a word, the assailant pulled out a firearm and shot the woman repeatedly at point-blank range .
The attack was brief but deadly. Despite Deysi’s attempts to protect herself, the shots were immediate and accurate. The scene was captured by nearby security cameras, which show the hitman approaching at high speed and firing without hesitation. After the attack, the man quickly fled the scene , leaving the victim on the ground.
Authorities, both the Peruvian National Police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office , have already begun the corresponding investigations to determine the whereabouts of the hitman. Although the exact motive has not yet been clarified, there is a possibility that the crime is related to extortion or disputes between criminal gangs.”
