Motorcycle rider killed after smashing into tree in Guatemala

A motorcycle rider was killed after smashing into a tree in Guatemala.

“A motorcyclist died on Acatán Boulevard, Zone 16 of the capital. The body was lying on the street and he had lost an arm , which was found a few meters from where the motorcycle he was riding was.  

The accident occurred this Saturday, February 1, on 28th Street. According to neighbors, the man was driving at excessive speed, collided with a parked vehicle, and lost control. The victim’s limb was left on the sidewalk . His identity is unknown.

Another motorcyclist was injured at km 81 on the route to the Atlantic. Volunteer Firefighters reported that he suffered a fractured right clavicle when he fell from the vehicle. He was taken to the National Hospital of Guastatoya, El Progreso.

At km 68 of the route to the Atlantic, a person who was riding a motorcycle fell into a ravine approximately 25 meters deep. He received pre-hospital care on the spot.”
