ARKANSAS — A naked woman driving a stolen pickup truck led police on a chase, dashcam video released shows.
The pursuit began on March 25, after a caller told the Lamar Police Department that a pickup truck with “several loaded guns” and a loaded trailer on its back had been stolen, according to a police report obtained by KATV.
Arkansas State Police spotted the vehicle on Interstate 40 moments later, but the driver, identified as 48-year-old Deidra Lewis, refused to pull over, the report said.
Lewis led multiple police agencies on a 10-mile pursuit — before police effectively deployed a spike strip near mile marker 47, blowing out her tire and forcing her to stop.
Video shows her getting out of the driver’s side of the truck wearing nothing but a jacket and what appears to be a shirt on her head.
She then takes off her jacket and walks towards a police cruiser. An officer holding a gun then appears in front of the vehicle and tackles her.
Lewis is being held at the Johnson County jail and was charged with aggravated assault, theft of a motor vehicle, criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct, reckless driving and fleeing. She’s set to appear in court next Thursday.
