VIDEO: Alligator eats man’s arm during attack in Port Charlotte

PORT CHARLOTTE – A 23-year-old man sustained “significant injuries” in an alligator attack near Fort Myers, Florida, early on Sunday morning.
Jordan Rivera, 23, fell into a pond behind Banditos Bar off S. McCall Road near closing time. That’s when the gator attacked him, biting off his right arm in the process.
The alligator measured 10 1/2 feet long and was later killed.
The man was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Fort Myers, where he underwent surgery to amputate his arm.
