Proud Boys leader Andrew Walls arrested after punching woman in the face in Akron

AKRON, Ohio — Alleged Proud Boys leader Andrew Walls was arrested after video showed him yelling racial slurs and sucker punching a Black woman in Akron Saturday.

Police in Akron had actively been searching for Walls since Sunday after a video gone viral showed him calling a woman the N-word before attacking her.

Andrew Walls, who has been publicly associated with the Proud Boys in the past, is charged with possessing a firearm while intoxicated and assault.

Police said more charges are pending for an additional assault on a second woman, who is not a minority, in that same incident.

The victim in the video, later identified as 23-year-old Cameron Morgan, suffered a busted lip and a concussion following the racist attack. Morgan was reportedly out with friends on Saturday night in Highland Square when she came across a man who was calling people the N-word.

Morgan said she tried to get him to stop, but Walls sucker-punched her.
