QUEENS: Off-duty firefighter gets jumped by mob of teens while walking his dog

NEW YORK — An off-duty firefighter was jumped by a mob of teens while walking his dog in a Queens park Friday night, video of the incident shows.

According to a report from the New York Post, the victim was walking with his 3-year-old Labradoodle Dylan in Juniper Valley Park at around 9:55pm when he was suddenly targeted by the group of teenagers.

He said there “were at least 100 kids” and that one of them taunted him, proclaiming, “It’s fight night!” as other teens took out their phones.

Video shows the group of youths surrounding the man, who at one point falls to the pavement with his dog nearby.

The victim, a 44-year-old firefighter who asked to remain anonymous, was struck in the head with a glass bottle and suffered cuts to the top of his head and lip.

No arrests have been made so far.

The investigation is ongoing.
