A woman has been caught on camera launching a racist tirade against a man and his kids on a United Airlines shuttle bus at Los Angeles Airport.
The incident was recorded by photographer Pervez Taufiq, who found himself and his family the target of the woman’s abuse on a crowded shuttle bus in Los Angeles last week.
Taufiq stated that the woman began making racist comments towards his son during their flight, but the situation worsened when she told his children to “shut up” while they were all on the shuttle.
The woman, clad in a green striped shirt, swore at Taufiq with both her middle fingers as he began filming the rant.
“Your family is from India, you have no respect for the rules, you think you can push everyone… that’s what you think you are. You guys are f*****g crazy,” she spat out.
In response to her rant, Taufiq asked: “Indian people are crazy? You told me to have some more curry, right?”
She snapped back: “I’m going to record your f****g tandoori a**. Your tandoori stinky a**.”
When Taufiq requested security to remove the woman, she argued: “She doesn’t care that I’m a racist, you’re racist towards me. I’m American.”
“So are we,” Taufiq said.
“You’re not American,” she insisted, “Not originally no, you’re from f*****g India.”
Taufiq told her that he was born in America but she wasn’t backing down. She said: “No you weren’t, that’s not on your passport.”
Taufiq responded: “Yeah, you want to see my passport? Is that going to make you happy?”
A United employee boarded the shuttle and began addressing the woman, as other passengers loudly demanded her removal from the bus.
One passenger told the employee: “She is out of line, she’s drunk and we need her off the bus.”
“She’s been on the bus cussing and screaming, she started calling racist slurs at this nice family. They didn’t do anything, she doesn’t need to be on this bus.”
Following the incident, the father shared a video of the incident on Instagram, expressing his shock and frustration.
“My blood is boiling right now, I honestly can’t even believe this. We were just in this altercation with this lady who was giving us a really hard time,” he said.
“[She was] telling my kids to shut up and I lost it and said you don’t have a right to talk to my kids like that.”
