Retired soldier shot to death by gunman in broad daylight in Colombia

A retired soldier was shot to death by a gunman in a broad daylight in Colombia.

“A retired professional soldier, identified as Giovanni Viveros Valencia, was shot and killed by hitmen in southern Cali. The incident occurred on 33B Street and 69th Avenue, in the Ciudad 2000 neighborhood , as the 43-year-old victim was entering a bakery.

According to the Army’s Third Brigade, Viveros had completed his service in the military institution and was part of the Army’s active reserve.

The commander of the Metropolitan Police of Cali, General Carlos Oviedo , reported that, ” he was attacked with a firearm by individuals who were traveling on motorcycles .”

The authorities still do not know the motive for the crime. Therefore, the Police SIJIN (National Investigation Unit) has appointed a special investigation team to investigate this murder and find those responsible.”
