Man injured after argument turns into shooting in Raleigh Food Lion parking lot

NORTH CAROLINA — One man is injured and another is facing charges after an argument inside a Raleigh Food Lion spilled out onto the parking lot and turned into a shooting, authorities said.

Police responded to the shooting shortly after 4:20pm Sunday at the Food Lion on N. Raleigh Boulevard.

Officials say the incident began as a dispute inside the store and then made its way outside into the supermarket’s parking lot.

Police say one man then fired several shots at the other man and struck him in the foot. The victim was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

23-year-old Jurante Avery Graham was arrested in connection with the shooting and is facing a charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Graham has already bonded out of the Wake County Detention Center, according to arrest records.
